Senior Product Owner (hybrid)
Sofia, SofiaWe are on the lookout for an experienced Product Owner to join our team in Sofia. In this role you will be driving the product strategy of our AI-driven home management platform. We are looking for a highly skilled, autonomous, and initiative-taking professional with significant experience and a proven track record of managing successful products. In this role you will also act as a bridge between various stakeholders, such as executive management, partners, marketing team and our development teams.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and communicate the product roadmap in alignment with the product vision, business objectives and strategic goals, ensuring all team members share a common understanding
Prioritize new product development based on strategic value, user impact, and available development capacity
Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring the features are well-defined and aligned with the product roadmap
Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria for software engineers
Lead the backlog grooming/refinement meetings, participate in sprint planning and review sessions, ensuring that the development team has a clear understanding of the product features and their end-user value
Participate in functional testing and validation of product implementations
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, we believe a mix of technical and soft skills is required. Below, you can see what we think are the characteristics of the 'ideal candidate':
5 or more years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably in a complex application development environment (ideally in a scale-up/start-up) following Agile methodologies
Significant experience in working on products that are technical in nature - used by engineers and software systems
Experience in producing clear and comprehensive business requirements, feature descriptions, user stories and justifications
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and business teams
Fluent English
Technical background with understanding and experience with the concepts and process of software systems engineering
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for identifying issues and for conceptualizing, evaluating and implementing solutions
Experience using of project management tools (Jira, AzureDevOps, MS Project)
Some knowledge of Machine Learning, AI and basic database concepts
Experience in planning and leading effective meetings and workshops
Keen interest in Smart Home and IoT technologies, with a desire to create innovative smart living solutions. Experience in these areas is a big advantage.
Ability and willingness to work independently, to proactively confront challenges, and to adapt to rapidly changing project demands.
