JOB DESCRIPTION
The Conjur R&D team at CyberArk seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to join our group! Conjur is CyberArk’s open source DevOps security product, and it also forms the basis of our commercial product, Conjur Enterprise.
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver quality software product features within the Conjur Enterprise product lines, with high quality and on schedule.
You will lead a team of engineers who work in Conjur Integrations team, developing and managing wide spectrum of connectors and plugins supporting broad ecosystem of application frameworks, DevOps tools, CICD tools, container orchestration platforms, and cloud providers. It will be your responsibility to lead, empower, guide, and inspire them to produce excellent work.
You will also be responsible for:
- Estimating efforts for new features being considered
- Working with Product Management and others to inform and refine the product roadmap
- Collaborating with cross-functional groups (infrastructure, technical writers, QA, system and security architects) to utilize their skills to improve your team's output
- Tracking and improving your team’s sprint velocity, effort estimates, burndowns, and other metrics and KPIs
- Coordinating engineering responses to support cases
- Managing and communicating status of delivery for your projects, managing and mitigating risk
- Conducting regular 1-on-1 meetings with your engineers to give them feedback, hear feedback from them, and grow them professionally
- Grow our team of engineers through coaching, mentoring, and leading by example with hands on development
- Recruiting new engineers to your team and assisting with R&D hiring efforts
- Meeting with customers to learn about their usage of the product and about their requests for improvements
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have experience leading software teams with a proven history of feature delivery
- 8+ years hands-on software development experience
- Experience in object-oriented programming languages, such as C#, Java, C++.
- You are familiar with languages like Ruby, Go, Python, and Bash
- You are familiar with container and virtualization platforms like Kubernetes, Docker, VMWare, etc.
- You are experienced with cloud technologies, DevOps, and cybersecurity
- You have experience in one of the following cloud technologies: AWS, Azure.
- Experience in Secrets and Identity Management concepts in a production/commercial environment and expertise with web services (e.g. REST, SOAP).
- You are familiar with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, XP, and Kanban (and when to apply each)
- Solid understanding of security and networking implementation and best practices.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
