Data and Operations Analyst - fully remote
BG, BGThe Data and Operations Analyst will play a critical role in working directly with business units to
improve operations and research initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with teams across
our institutional research department, operations, database management, and sales. The role
will support efforts to improve data quality, streamline processes, and drive strategic growth
initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
● Data Quality Assurance: Assist in evaluating institutional data, identifying potential
errors, and finding ways to improve data processes to maintain a high standard of
accuracy.
● Data Analysis: Dive deep into databases to understand the dynamics of how data is
collected, shared, and used by clients.
● Process Optimization: Contribute to the data collection process by working on
initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and overall effectiveness in daily tasks.
● Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including research groups,
database developers, and client-facing teams.
● Reporting: Perform ad-hoc and ongoing analyses linking institutional data to research
efforts. Create dashboards in Excel to support management decision-making (e.g.,
dashboards to track team performance and effectiveness in data collection or metrics to
better understand KPIs and identify data collection shortcomings).
Position Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field or demonstrable experience (3-5 years) in a
business analytics role.
● Excellent understanding of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query).
● Working knowledge of relational databases.
● Deep understanding of statistics (mean, median, distributions, standard deviation, outlier
analysis).

● Experience in higher education, educational technology, or finance.
