As a Power BI Developer (Expert), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and UX/UI designers, to transform complex data sets into actionable insights. Your expertise in Power BI will be critical in ensuring that the digital analytics application is both robust and user-friendly, meeting the needs of our global audience.

Principal Accountabilities
 

• Design and develop advanced data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI.
• Implement data models and DAX queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Utilize advanced Power BI features, including DAX, calculated columns, and measures, to create sophisticated visualizations.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate various data sources into Power BI including Snowflake and APIs
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within the Power BI environment.
• Optimize report performance and scalability to handle large datasets efficiently
• Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the utility of Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry best practices to continuously improve the application.

Knowledge, Experience And Skills

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Power BI Developer, with a proven track record of designing and deploying complex Power BI solutions.
• Experience in embedding Power BI dashboards in applications efficiently
• Expertise in data modelling, DAX, and Power Query in building complex custom visuals like MACCs
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Proficient in SQL and experience with various databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Snowflake).
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of Python or R programming languages is a plus.
