Main Purpose of the Role

Manages and oversees the IT infrastructure to ensure its proper and seamless operation. Coordinates priorities between the IT department and other departments. Effectively plans IT activities and monitors the execution of processes.


Responsibilities

Ensures the proper operation of the IT infrastructure to support the uninterrupted work of company employees.  
Ensures compliance with IT infrastructure usage policies and monitors its functionality. Coordinates the proper operation of internal, network, and outsourced infrastructures and services.  
Assesses user needs and ensures their requirements are met.  
Leads and monitors the process of updating computer equipment by regularly reviewing outdated and worn-out hardware.  
Participates in the operation and maintenance of application software.  
Ensures secure network access for users and data protection.  
Manages relationships with IT infrastructure suppliers and oversees the selection of preferred vendors.  
Manages the team under their supervision, fostering their professional development and assisting with work-related challenges.  
Organizes and ensures onboarding and continuous professional development training for new and existing team members.  
Manages the assigned budget.  
Acts as the department's point of contact with the Data Protection Officer regarding tasks, projects, and inquiries related to legal data protection compliance.  
Ensures the implementation and adherence to data protection policies, procedures, and practices within the department.  
Leads the team to improve overall department performance, inspiring, engaging, and developing team members.  
Carries out additional tasks within their area of competence, as assigned by the Direct Manager, Business Unit Manager, or General Manager, or as they arise during the course of work relevant to the department's activities.

Knowledge

  • In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of the full cycle from design to implementation and maintenance of computer networks.

  • Understanding of fundamental principles of information infrastructure, software application development, installation, functionality, and support.

  • Familiarity with integrated systems, business applications, databases, and other related systems.

  • Knowledge of technical tools, instruments, and specialized equipment used in building computer systems.

  • Strong understanding of information security and protection against unauthorized access.

Education

  • Higher education in IT-related fields – Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.


Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of previous experience in a similar role.

  • At least 1 year of experience in managing people.
