NOC Manager

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Lead and manage the NOC team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

    • Develop and implement NOC policies, procedures, and best practices.

    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless network operations.

  • Network Monitoring and Incident Management:

    • Oversee network monitoring tools and systems to detect and respond to network issues promptly.

    • Manage incident response processes, ensuring timely resolution of network incidents.

    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Performance and Reporting:

    • Monitor network performance metrics and generate regular reports for senior management.

    • Identify trends and areas for improvement in network performance and reliability.

    • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and other performance metrics.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay updated with the latest network technologies and industry trends.

    • Recommend and implement network upgrades and improvements.

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the NOC team.

 

Required and Preferred Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in network operations or network management roles

  • Proven experience with network infrastructure technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, and security protocols

  • Strong understanding of network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar

Preferred:

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent

  • Experience in managing a team and leading complex projects

  • Familiarity with cloud engineering and networking concepts and services (AWS, Azure, etc.)
