We’re looking for a hands-on Tech Lead (Java / Backend) to shape the next generation of a fast-scaling Fintech platform serving some of the world’s most recognizable brands. The system you’ll build empowers thousands of professionals to manage their work, track hours, and get paid on time – with reliability and speed at its core.

You’ll be a key technical leader within a high-performing team: guiding design decisions, mentoring developers, and writing production-grade, reliable code. You’ll own critical backend services, driving both architecture and execution as we scale to support growing international usage.

Duties and Responsibilities
Lead backend design & development, owning critical microservices.
Write clean, production-grade Java/Spring Boot code daily.
Mentor developers, drive code quality and architectural excellence.
Partner with product, mobile, and DevOps to deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions on AWS.
Define testing strategies and deployment pipelines, ensuring reliability and speed.
Required Experience & Knowledge
Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservice architecture.
Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying systems on AWS.
Strong understanding of cloud-native patterns and distributed systems.
Tech lead experience: leading 3-5 engineers, making design decisions, mentoring, and delivering in a team.
Track record of owning backend systems from design through production.
Strong knowledge of relational databases and performance optimization. 
Experience with observability tools and best practices for monitoring distributed systems
Skills and Attributes
Strong communication and excellent spoken English (non-negotiable).
Able to balance hands-on coding with team guidance and leadership.
Collaborative, pragmatic problem solver with a proven ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term scalability.
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
Additional relevant certifications (cloud, architecture, etc.) are a plus, but not required.
