We are currently looking for an IT & Information Security Specialist to be responsible for maintaining and protecting the information systems and networks of Geowealth’s Sofia office. The IT & Information Security Specialist will handle IT-related activities for the Sofia office and carry out security measures to monitor and protect from infiltration and cyber-attacks and put compliance and information security controls in place.
Your responsibilities:
Handle the IT-related activities for Geowealth’s Sofia office, such as Network and server administration, Local infrastructure monitoring, Asset management, Access management.
Conduct regular security and risk assessments, monitor network and systems for intrusions, maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
Investigate security breaches and incidents, develop and implement security policies, oversee audits and compliance initiatives (such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001).
Stay current with industry trends, security standards, and best practices.
Conduct security awareness training for staff and promote security awareness across the organization.
Our requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
At least 5 years of experience in IT operations or System administration role.
Proven work experience with Linux and Windows administration, hardware support, network and firewall management with NGFW such as Cisco, Palo Alto.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001/27002).
Experience in SOC 2 compliance or similar framework and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ will be considered a strong advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in English.
