Senior Backend Engineer (.NET)

Responsibilities:

- Develop, test, evolve, and maintain applications.

- Participate in research, modernization, and architecture of our software solution.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and

applications.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.

- Actively give input on system and process improvements for the R&D team.

- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and writing technical documentation in order

to improve quality.

- Collaborate with the R&D team members to determine the best implementation for our

client requirements.

- Organize trainings and share knowledge with the members of the R&D team and the

company.

- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our

software solution.

Technical skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work

experience.

- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.

- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET with backend applications.

- Ability to write simple, efficient, and clean code.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience with automated testing and TDD.

- Solid understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.

- Familiarity with integration between backend systems using ASP.NET and other backend

technologies.

- Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.

Nice to have:

- Experience writing code that requires good performance and excellent reliability.

- Knowledge of distributed systems and fundamental architecture models.

- Experience with non-relational databases.

- Experience with containerization technologies e.g., Docker, Kubernetes.

- Experience with cloud platforms e.g., Azure, AWS.

Soft skills:

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to self-start, work remotely and independently.

- Ability to work efficiently with teammates in a small and cohesive team.

- Strong command of the English language is essential.
